ND | This is a subject that has been on my mind quite a bit lately. I grew up in a pretty rural area so when i started looking for jobs after college, most of what I was interested was in larger areas. I still work off the farm and own a house in a town about 60 miles away from the farm. If everything goes well I should be back on the farm full time within the next two years and my options are to make the hour drive or move back there. I'm almost thinking it would be a better choice to drive. If i lived at the farm now, the school is about 10 miles away, but by the time i have kids the nearest school might be 35-40 miles. In that case I'd rather it be me than my kids on the road during winter. | |
