NE Kansas
I have a new background. Thanks

Thank you cat lovers taking up for cats. There are studies that show that cats and dogs can lower blood pressure. Our cat can hop into to my wife's lap on a stressful day and my wife calms way down. I do like dogs and grew up with border collies. Smart dogs but not for apartments.

I will say that on a farmstead that you need to be careful of stray animals. Rabies is out in the wild and it makes animals not run from people. Rabies is not a disease that I would want to catch.

As I said, my wife made me get a cat after we got married. They stay out of the way and are not intrusive into your life. Then they come and be your friend.

By the way, thanks for telling me more about how cats help people. I knew some of the stories, but not all.

I guess I am a softy for the little fur balls.
