You are very lucky to have those memories,, mine could not cook to save her rearend. Most everything was either raw, burnt to a crisp, or so bland and tasteless dad and I were better off eating the magazines with the pictures on them. If you think I'm kidding I'm not meals were a real challenge sometimes. One fall I vividly remember growing up was 3 months of sandwitches consisting of bread-1 slice of bolona-mustard-period that was it. She had decided stuff like lettuce, mayonaise, etc.. was all too expensive so "lunch" was 2 tasty "mustard sandwitches". It took me years After growing up and leaving home before I could even stomach the smell of Mustard. |
