Yea, the news people say to stay indoors unless you absolutely have to go out, then you should prepare well, wear multiple layers of clothes, and so forth. A lot of sensationalism.
I saw on the Weather Channel where Memphis, TN had declared a federal state of emergency and several people had died due to the extreme cold. I think it got down to 8 or 9 there.
