| Might be a while as one of the notebooks is not here now. Might have it back this weekend.
I confess I don't remember the internal settings now. I was playing with a wireless printer connection today and I can't for sure keep the settings seperate in my mind now.
Basic set up. I had two XP pro notebooks, both wireless, and one 5 foot cable I use to tap in other computers/routers to upload or download. Couldn't get the wireless to find each other. Was confused when I hooked the cable between them and started getting connection speed warnings.
EDIT
Wireless is out as a peer to peer set up without a router. Hardware is limited or the software. Both machines demand a router. Notebook only problems? I have done wireless point to point before. Have I been left behind? Again?
Set the wired up again. Both find each other and are able to "see" files on the other machine. Error messages still on slow to limited connections.
