Tim, can you outline the whole network setup?

Start on one machine, with the OS, then the Ethernet settings, the IP settings, the cabling you're using (and the length, etc), any hub/switch/router you're using, up the cable into the next computer, the other computer's Ethernet/IP settings, the other computer's OS, etc?
