I've run 2- 7200 planters with frame mounted no-till coulters and will never run without them. I've found if you run them at or just below the seed disks it works the best. They will cut through trash and warm the soil up faster too, I've run the steel closing wheels for 40 years on all soil types from river bottom,gravel,shale rocky ground and sod.
I would try the planter the way it is .
