E ND | We do it with a firewood stand for the boys. Put a keyed drop box for cash under the roof and a sign with our Venmo on it. The stand only holds about $30 retail in firewood which as you can assume costs us very little to put up so there isn't a whole lot of risk there if someone decides they want the whole works for free. The stand is up year-round but it really only sees action spring/summer/fall.
Still fun for the kids to go check it or when we get a Venmo alert. No way would a manned stand ever make sense for something low value like that and I can't say I've ever suspected theft in the 2 summers we've had it up. | |
