central Iowa | I’ve got a similar set-up. Took a long time to prime, etc. I put a ball valve where your hose goes down the hole. Once you get it primed and fill your tank, shut the ball valve when you shut off the pump. Keeping water in the hose laying on the ground and to the pump. The next time you start the pump, then open the valve and it should pull water up ! Maybe the “foot valve” others have mentioned does the same thing. Like they said- stick with the priming longer. Pump won’t burn up that quick. | |
