South Central MN | Unless people have been through the challenge of doing the follow-through after a funeral, they just don't realize.
First of all, I am so sorry for your loss! I haven't kept up on agtalk much the past couple of weeks. We lost three family members in 2 1/2 years. After that, we decided if we give money, we give cash to family choice. If we want to give somewhere else, we will take care of it and include a note in the card of what we did. The other thing I won't do again is send flowers to the funeral home or church. It's a lot of work after to deal with getting them home, or wherever you decide they should go. I would, however, consider sending flowers to the family's home at a later date to know they are still being thought of.
Again, I am so sorry for your loss. Your wife must have been an incredible person!
