Every 4-5 years there is a new farm bill and every time lobbying is done to keep funding for crop insurance and the farm program at the same or even increase funding. Irregardless of how good or bad the farm economy is. So the idea that the call for student loan cancellation is proof of a poor economy is incorrect.
