NW Iowa | Back when we were financing our seed through Pioneer my wife called Pioneer to get the exact figure before she wrote the check to pay it off. The lady at Pioneer suggested we do a money transfer instead of sending a check. She said too many checks sent to Pioneer are lost in the mail so the farmer gets interest tacked onto the loan until the check arrives if it arrives at all. I would hate to be the person at Pioneer who fields a call from an angry farmer who gets a second notice plus interest a month after he has sent the check. | |
