NW Iowa | I have had five addresses in my life and I have lived here my whole life. It started as RR1, then box 83, then Box 100. Then the 911 address system came in so the address was changed to 49010 xxx avenue. But the county screwed up the 911 addresses so the 49010 was changed to 4950. We have not received any mail addressed to box 83 or box 100 for several years but we still do get mail addressed to 49010. Our local mail carrier is a lady who does a good job of keeping track of who is who on the route so give her a lot of credit for straightening things out when there is a mixup. | |
