I have never tried the Berkshire meat, but todays pigs are to lean and the meat Quality reflects it. Like its been said about 30 years ago was the big push by the pork industry to promote lean healthy meat, unfortunately the taste went away to, duroc crosses are making a comeback to help meat quality but we still have pretty lean hogs yet.
