Got a friend who farrows about 20 litters a year, uses Berk boars on york/hamp cross gilts. I got on his waiting list for a butcher hog probably 10 years ago, still waiting for my first one, every pig he can raise is sold to long time customers. Finishing on dirt I think helps as well.
Been getting york/hamp/duroc cross belly busts, the price is right, but the quality leaves some to be desired.

Yes, IMHO, the Berk is worth it.
