Not sure what you have for a cornhead but some money spent to make that process the stalks better can go a lot farther than buying another piece of equipment and making another pass across the field. You do not say what your field cultivator is but if that is quite old or has only four rows of shanks front to back that is another place a reasonable investment can make a big improvement.
