Get a soil finisher with a gang of coulters on the front instead of the field cultivator. They build equipment for the job and you can find some on the pretty cheap side

Yes we have one with gang on front. Does ok until it don't and you're pissing in the wind. Ive been looking for better finisher but when researching other economical options plenty of these have issues. People complain about similar problems with 726s, etc. Sunflower finisher is simply over the budget. Also no ridging if can get to a state a field cultivator works. And cupped disks are simply bad for soil structure. Thanks.
