We had this happen to a couple rows with our 3500 when using the Kinze seed tube guards. We cut the shank off and welded a piece of bar stock on, lined stuff up and drilled an tapped new holes. Then we bought Exapta's Valion seed tube guards and have not had an issue since on a 3500 or 3200.
