Subject: Kinze 3000 series row unit shank question

EC Illinois
I bought this supposedly “field ready“ planter (had that written in the bill of sale) last summer and I also had the local dealer go through it a couple weeks ago. I bought a set of STP openers that I wanted to try on one row to see if I liked it enough to go all the way. When taking The disc off, I found and inside scraper that was completely wore through and wearing into the shank. Upon further inspection, I found about half a dozen shanks that have been damaged from the scraper not being replaced soon enough. So much for the dealer that told me the scrapers had a couple seasons in them, lol. I am coming from a case IH planter so this is new to me. What does a guy do when the shanks are wore this bad?
