Floyd County, Iowa | I have to agree with this. Have seen the struggles of others with undivided ownership. And have also seen the struggles of families that have a farming child that wants it all. Our daughters have absolutely no desire to farm or live here. They actually have no interest in it at all. Mom and I may just save them the trouble, and look for something where it doesn't snow or get as cold for so long. Even northern Missouri has a month less winter than here (and kids are in the Des Moines area). Just want a place in the country on about 20 acres of non-row crop land, with a really nice house for mom and a nice shop for me. | |
