It would be hard to justify a payloader or a newer one like we have now if the cattle left. Before I bought one for the cattle we hired more work done with the poultry manure as it was cheaper than owning one. Now we do it ourselves because you can’t own the machinery and hire it done.. We always had a skid loader but never as nice or as big as the one we have now. If I needed a big one a couple days a year I rented it in the past. For a couple thousand a year in rent it was the way to go and cheaper than owning. Don’t get me wrong it would be hard to get rid the machinery but I definitely wouldn’t update the machinery as the need really is not there enough to warrant it. I get what you are saying though.
