CNY | Funny how reading on here you learn about the weather in other places. Yours sounds about the same as ours, I think I am due east of you. Lake’s really change your weather. Our falls are usually cloudy & wet. Always nervous about getting beans out. More often than not combining corn leaving ruts. Remember as a kid picking ear corn in January in the snow and mud about froze to death.
I’m blown away by all the posters on here who think that it’s just normal everywhere to combine corn & just put it in a bin with air on it and it will be fine. Never happens here
I like spring planting, days getting longer, leaves on trees, optimism. Fall is cloudy cold and-darn it I hoped there’d be another truckload off that field-oh well patch everything up and cross your fingers we’ll finish before the weather turns to crap, try again next year | |
