Southeast Washington | We got to about 8,000 hours on our 865C and just traded our off for a red quad. Sad day sort of but Fendt doesn't really have any history in our hills and the current slow running MAN engine although nice isn't acceptable to us without seeing it with an engine brake. Trying to keep the engine below 1400 rpm with full grain cart took a lot of brake because 1100-1400 rpm doesn't offer very much compression to hold back the load. We have to sit out till the next opportunity to buy a tractor because the engine brakes on the quads are very nice and JD is offering them standard in our area unless you specifically other without. They at least are thinking about the 2nd and 3rd owners like Case IH is. Fendt denied they needed it. We tried it in our conditions. It needs it. | |
