| It has been a few years ago, but when my boy looked into asphalt for parking, concrete was actually cheaper.
The size of the job probably has a lot to do with that.
He did get some asphalt that was left over from paving the highway. Some times it came as a truck load but more often just cleaning out the trucks.
I put it down 4 or 5 inches thick and mixed it with small gravel when I did. It was just a crude job done with the loader.
That has stood up for 5 or 6 years of semi traffic. The neighbor down the road put it down a couple inches thick. It looked really good for a few months with very little semi traffic. | |
