How good a base would be a consideration. If you are using an existing base that's been there for years (well packed), put down 3"-6" limestone first, then two lifts of 1 1/2" might surprise you. Naturally a two, 2" lifts better.
This is true but no one does it anymore. Takes higher skill level to pave 1 1/2" without dragging. Turn it black and get out of there! |
