Thats true with most livestock, at least when things are going good.
If it turns into a disaster I can assure you that 100 of anything is more work than 1. The thing about small projects is that death loss can absolutely kill any chance of profitability.
If you have 5 lambs/calves/pigs/whatever and 1 or 2 die that’s nearly impossible to make up on the remaining animals. If you have 100 and 1 or 2 die that’s just normal death loss and the rest of the pen should be able to carry that load. |
