I don’t think these prices are going to change anytime soon.
Canadian cow herd keeps on shrinking … I am assuming the US herd is on a similiar trend.




Smallest Canadian cattle numbers since 1989. Smallest Canadian cow herd since 1989.
Replacement heifer numbers down 6%.
Feeder numbers that aren’t already placed in feedlots down 4%
Cow/calf profit up 26% in 2023.


Profit up 26% ???????????????????

I guess if you bought your diesel for real cheap and your partsman is using 2020 prices and you don't look at replacement cost on ANY equipment - - - then I think you can get 26% profit increase.
Now if you include the cost increases on only what I mentioned - - - - think You're really going to have a hard time penciling 6% never mind 26%.
