I think cows are still not bringing enough honestly. There are one off groups that bring stupid money like in Decorah on wednesday where 430# steer calves bring 4.28, but thats not the norm and had a large feedlot operator tell me that a person could lock a profit in on them calves. With a 2.70 feeder board for fall, and a 1.95 April '25 live cattle board most of the calves still work that are selling today.
