Thumb of Michigan | I'm a few years from 90, but have had an ablation. Couple years ago, cardioversions hadn't been successful.
I never felt any different whether in A Fib or not. I don't know whats normal, but I do know people who've known they were in A Fib. Does your Dad notice it when he's in Afib vs not? Or is he in A Fib all the time?
If your Dads cardiologist thinks he's a candidate for an ablation, I think I'd get it done. I don't know what complications can arise from an ablation, but he/she should be able to tell you.
