SW OH | A friend has one under his front porch. All 8" concrete walls and ceiling. Enough supplies to last 48 hours.
Make sure the door opens inward. If his house falls in the basement, he can still get the door open. He keeps his chainsaws, spud bars, and other tools in there. There's also a power envertor hooked to a battery that is outside for phone charging and lighting as well as battery operated lights and extra batteries. A portable campsite toilet as well.
