Since you are talking phosphorous efficiency I assume you mean ability to feed/provide for the corn crop early in its life. I heard this once at a meeting and wrote it down. 5# with the seed , equals 20# 2” under the seed , equals 200# broadcast. We have a lot of acreage with very good fertility. And we are more conscious about waiting to plant corn in warm soil vs years past. Having said that I won’t give up our infurrow fertilizer. Guess I didn’t answer your question. I think a combination might be best, even in lower fertility soils.
