You know this wouldn't be so bad if diagnostic and repair time went down on newer equipment. But they've become so complicated that it takes longer to figure the issue out.
It really just caters to the BTOs that can revolve equipment and keep it under warranty.
I don’t know, a lot of this newer stuff seems less complicated to me. Sure there’s more electronics but there’s a heck of a lot less moving wear parts. Most of the time one of the electric components malfunctions and the computer tells me what it is and how to fix it. I won’t disagree the parts are more expensive to replace than chains and sprockets but there’s also nothing for a corn stalk to get caught in. Might be my age too, if a guy wasn’t used to computers it could be daunting. |
