SE MN | I can’t speak to anyone else’s situation, but I have never seen this level of dryness before here in SE MN. We have heavy black dirt, there is no subsoil moisture to speak of.
I would guess that we will receive adequate moisture to grow a crop. We usually do. But after getting less than 3” during the growing season last year and minimal rain in the fall I am concerned about the possibility for poor crops.
2023 resulted in roughly 65% of expected yields for corn on our farm. | |
