West-Central Missouri | So according to the drought map, i think there are still parts of the Midwest still in drought. I am going by the map only and would concede to a local of those areas.
So lets say we get to mid summer and start to see pics of slightly withered corn from the same areas as last year. The “Fool me once” saying comes to mind.
However due to low subsoil moisture, the “withered crops” may really lose yield quickly and lower yields may be a real story in 2024.
We could be fooled twice.
Or maybe semi localized droughts do not cut production enough to raise market prices.
