perryton, tx | Several years ago I read on old NAT post (don’t recall who made the post) that said just skin a chunk of hide from the back end including the tail and butthole from the dead calf and glue it on the same area of the graft calf. The premise of this is that the cow tends to sniff the butthole area first to ID her calf. I’ve used this method for several successful adoptions since then and it saves a lot of skinning and mess. | |
