Missouri | I bought my forks to move totes and pallets, but I now move all my baleage with them. They're 5' forks though. I can't stab my dry bales with them unless it's very close to the edge and then you risk cutting the string or wrap. Loading squished flat bottom bales on a flat bed trailer is kind of pain. Putting bales on an inline trailer is much easier with forks. Setting them wider than the rails and pushing from the bottom of the bale is much smoother than a spear raised up higher. You can also move old hay without worrying about it blowing up. I'm using old corn stubble bales this week that would otherwise have to be scooped up with a bucket after you busted half of them with a spear. |
