Plant it to corn. Harvest as normal in October / November. Then next year plant it to sorghum / sudan and leave. Then plant grass the next winter into the standing sorghum / sudan. This is what we have done on all of our CRP years ago. And the USDA might cost share on the planting of the sorghum / sudan.
