While much of what you say I agree with as someone with a Hereford background I don’t think calving ease is the number one problem with the breed. Admittedly I haven’t used a Hereford bull for 15 plus years now but the biggest problem I hear and see is lack of consistency of a set of calves side by Hereford bulls. The genetic variation is too great.
