Driftless SW Wisconsin

These girls are as gentle as they come. My best genetics. I ask them to stand back while I unwrap the net wrap and they move back. With rotational grazing, they pass within arms length of me a couple times a week so I get a pretty good idea of their dispositions over the summer. Any animal that even looks at me sideways goes to the sale barn ASAP. This is too much work to be messing around with ornery cattle.

That cow on the left is my current favorite. She's docile, long, lean, good udder and a great momma. She's the result of around 18 years of learning the Hereford EPDs, retaining heifers and many of my own bulls. She has a lot of Tested and A250 genetics. EFBeef and Schu-Lar are my places to go for a good pasture bull.

Yes this weather is crazy. Went from nights below 0 F to right around the freezing point with fog, drizzle and ice. But I still love being out with them.
