I don’t know much about easels as a site but there seems to be a lot of information about connecting a hard drive to a dish receiver, hopper.
Dish had to activate my receiver/receivers to use an external drive. I could transfer the drives on my account between my 2 receivers. It reads to me like dish needs to activate the external HD feature to use it on a hopper. Seems to me if you’ve talked to dish surely they would have activated your hopper to use an external drive but……
