Silly me, I thought under the new rules it was illegal to mass treat beef cattle with antibiotics. Here we couldn't even get a bottle of Bo-Se to treat a calf with white muscle disease unless the vet had been to the farm to examine the herd in the last year. He gave us a syringe containing enough Bo-Se to give one calf two shots.


The Bo-Se thing is odd, as it is vitamin e and selenium, neither of which is an antibiotic.
