| STO, Diesel with loader has about a 50/50 mix in with Power Service, or there is a gas 670 Moline with loader if it gets serious both can get plugged in, but in theory neither gets ran if really cold, all then cattle have preplaced bales so move feeders and poly wire, 2010 cop Tahoe has synthetic 5-30 oil and it came with 2 batteries, so it is pretty dependable in cold weather. When I milked cows we were daily haulers and always had a gas tractor on the spreader prevents a lot of fuel issues in cold weather, kind of neat spreading in that real cold weather, manure is froze before it hits the snow, but better have a wood spreader, steel ones the apron can be froze before you get away from the barn cleaner! Helped dad pitch the load off the spreader a couple times in the winter of 75-76 on that old steel knight, and he only was going to get out back out of the buildings and dump it in a pile. | |
