Northwest Iowa | I agree that it is cheap insurance. Why worry if you mixed in enough additives or not. ( I have never had luck or saw any benefits in any that were tried).
I’m 40 miles south of the Minnesota/ Iowa state line. 50/50 blend will gel at -15 when feeder tractor runs for 5 - 6 hours each morning. I run 70% #1/ 30% #2 from the 1st week in November until 1st week of April. Not worth it to me to try and save on fuel cost or power. The time and aggravation I spent with that one time gel issue isn’t going to happen again. | |
