Subject: Winter woes

Just outside downtown Prairie Hill
This morning we had -13...yesterday -14...tomorrow -7 predicted. We have been getting cattle fed in @ 3 times what it usually takes to feed. This morning we worked from 7-10 just getting enough stuff started and running to start mixing feed. We must not be too bright, but at least we are wimpy... We need you northern guys to give us a short course in winter prep and feeding. Wednesday we are looking for a high of 30 and a reprieve. What do you guys do for diesel fuel mixture between #1 and #2? What kind of additives do you use? How do you keep air brakes functional? Any thing you could point out would be appreciated. Seems about every year we get really cold for a few days. You nothern guys deal with longer bouts of colder temps then we can comprehend. Any tips? Thanks
