We use plywood boxes and radiant propane heaters. ordered some poultry grates and plan to build a false floor underneath so a radiant heater will be right at 18” under the calves. Yes we could run a generator but it’s just a hassle. We have our setup in a 24’ horse trailer. 500 gallons of propane and a propane generator. Nothing cures a cold calf like drying it with radiant heat. | |
