So do you cool it down to acidify it and then warm it back up?


At the time, I just mixed the acid into the 90-degree milk from the parlor, and dumped it directly into the calves' uninsulated barrel. After that, it was just at ambient temperature. I don't recommend that though. It didn't work for me; the calves didn't drink enough as the weather got cooler.
