So most of the pivots there are pulling from surface water? I'd say 1% of them here do that, 99% are wells.
Not here. The well water here is not suitable for crop production. If you put some in a glass and let it evaporate it's all white and chalky. I could stand to be corrected but I would say 99% of the water that is delivered for irrigating through pivots around here is done with surface water that originates in the Rocky mountains.
