I was going to try to clarify that to the OP but I thought I would leave it alone. The way the original post is worded it seems as if they are looking to export gps out of whatever brand steering system they may be using and that is absolutely doable as others have stated.
560HighCrop is partially right in saying most autosteer systems will not typically take gps corrections from an outside source as they 'speak their own language' and that is a way to keep the user brand loyal. Though that is true in most hydraulic steering systems that is not true for all systems. An ag leader assisted steering system such as all ontracs will take nmea strings from a whole slew of different gps receivers and work well. So in turn a 372 would feed gps to an assisted steering ag leader system.
but to answer the original question, yes you can take the gps out of the steering system of your choice and export it to the pro for planter functions. | |
