WC IL | We were there this past August. We stayed in a really nice cabin in Island Park, Idaho. Could easily sleep 8 with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 2 futons. Was quite a bit cheaper than any of the places inside the park. We are early risers so the drive to the park still got us in before things got busy
We took picnic fixings with us, you can be a long ways from the few spots that have food when you want to eat, and those places were pretty busy.
It will be a full day drive from Rushmore to Yellowstone, especially if you go by Devil’s Tower on the way. Agree with taking the Bear Tooth Highway. Need to experience it once. | |
