| We drove the Beartooth into Cooke City a couple of times, check out the Alpine Inn at Cooke City, an older clean hotel, call directly for the best rates, the owner told me the booking sites take around 15 to 20 percent.
Cooke City is a town of around 70 full-time residents, no crowds, and 10 minutes from the park. We would drive straight to the Lamar Valley in the morning with little traffic.
